The Carriage House is the only barn venue in downtown St. Augustine making it a hidden gem in this historic district. The main entrance sits towards the back of the property, with a large sliding gate opening to reveal a brick courtyard and meandering garden that perfectly flatters the barn itself. This beautiful barn enchants guests as the large picture-perfect barn doors open to exposed beams, market lighting and a carriage-wheel chandelier. This 2000 sq ft, climate-controlled barn displays a more elegantly rustic setting. We love the barn’s ability to perfectly transform itself for a rustic celebration or an elegant, more formal affair. The Carriage House was previously known as “The Pioneer Barn” within what used to be Fort Menendez. The fort front walls and arched doorways at the front of the property remind guests of the town's history when entering, but as soon as they are within the walls, it’s time to celebrate your event.

The Carriage House and Carriage Courtyard
The exterior of the barn draws you in with its southern charm. Featuring large picture-perfect barn doors, the face of the barn is a beautiful backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. As the sun goes down, the stringed market lights glow over the Carriage Courtyard giving the barn and courtyard a romantic feel.

The Carriage House: Interior
Opening the barn doors reveals the 2000 square foot open space of The Carriage House. The interior of the barn showcases exposed beams, market lights, a large rustic bar and an authentic carriage wheel chandelier.
*Bonus: Our farmhouse tables and benches, wooden bar and white chairs are included with every rental!

Farmhouse Porch & Lawn
Stepping out onto the side of our barn places you onto our Farmhouse Porch. Complete with rocking chairs, market lights, our porch really ties together the southern charm experience of The Carriage House. The porch looks out over our grassy side yard which is perfect for more intimate ceremonies or cocktail hour. Maybe even have some fun "backyard games" on the lawn for a more casual event!

The Garden
Our newest addition to The Carriage House venue is our beautiful garden. The garden draws you in with overhanging mature trees, Florida native foliage, enchanting market lights and a natural water feature. Couples love our romantic wedding party entrance consisting of our barn-door inspired gates opening and the wedding party proceeding down the curvy garden path, over the bridge and onto the ceremony stage. For other events, guests enjoy this area to roam and relax or enjoy a cocktail hour.

Bridle Path
On the front side of our Carriage Courtyard sits the Bridle Path. A large sliding barn wall reveals an empty, covered, open-air room that can be utilized in so many different ways! Complete with fans and caterers’ kitchen access, this room is a favorite for buffet settings which opens even more space to dance and seat guests inside the barn. Not having a buffet? Add more seating to a Carriage Courtyard ceremony! For a more casual event this space can transform into a cute picnic area!

Bridle Room
Our "Bridle Room" (Bridal) was once used an old fashioned schoolhouse. This large, open room has been completely revamped as of August 2018. The Bridle Room features rustic wood floors, neutral toned walls, sitting areas, and an extra-long makeup counter that is perfect for getting ready for your big day! This shabby-chic room has direct access to the restrooms and opens into The Carriage Courtyard.
