House of Assembly Events was created in 2018 to serve as venue space for weddings, events, showers, meetings and more. Wanting to bring a fresh new venue to “Old Town” St. Augustine, we developed an industrial style brick building to both fit in and stand out in the nation’s oldest city. HOAE offers two neighboring venue spaces located on San Marco Ave. These include our new building, Art ‘n Motion, and The Carriage House.
Merging the names of The Assembly Room Events at Art ‘n Motion and The Carriage House, we founded House of Assembly Events to showcase both of our beautiful venues.
Art ‘n Motion is the host building for The Assembly Room Events. Located just within the historic St. Augustine city entrance, this two-story brick building is an early 1900’s industrial-inspired masterpiece with modern amenities. Showcasing brick walls, handcrafted woodwork and exposed ceilings, the inside of this newly constructed building is raw yet polished. Art ‘n Motion is primarily a classic car gallery and dealership, adding a unique look to your event. The Assembly Room at Art ‘n Motion has 5 elegant spaces to choose from for your event. Keeping in mind that every event is unique, we have multiple packages to choose from. These packages range from one room for a more intimate event to a mix and match of several rooms. Included in almost every package, Art ‘n Motion also offers access to our caterers’ kitchen as well as a large amount of convenient private parking making it a rarity in downtown St. Augustine.
The Carriage House is our beautiful barn venue revealing exposed beams, large picture-perfect barn doors and a carriage-wheel chandelier. This 2000 sq ft, climate controlled barn displays a more rustic setting. Also offering multiple event packages to choose from, this venue provides farmhouse tables and benches, stringed cafe lighting, and a farmhouse porch in every package. We love the barn’s ability to perfectly transform itself for a rustic celebration or an elegant, more formal affair at an affordable price. The Carriage House was previously known as “The Pioneer Barn” within what used to be Fort Menendez.
